On May 13, 2017 ReachOutNC will be partnering with Community Home Trust for a neighborhood improvement project!
Community Home Trust is a nonprofit organization that seeks to strengthen our community with affordable homeownership opportunities for low and moderate income households.Community Home Trust sold its first home in June 2000. Today, there are more than 250 permanently affordable homes in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Homeowners include nurses, university employees, teachers and others, who serve our community but otherwise could not afford to own a home. Please follow the link for more information: https://communityhometrust.org/overview/.
Volunteers will help build a short retaining wall, spread mulch and cut down small trees in one of the developments solely owned by Community Home Trust. Items volunteers may want to bring include: Gardening gloves and/or cleaning gloves, Weeding tools, Rakes / Shovels, and Wheelbarrows. Additionally, we could use help from anyone with a pick up truck.
This is a family friendly event, so all ages are welcome!
